No credit card needed to start. Subscriptions are managed through the App Store.
Upgrading to Pro
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Choose Monthly or Yearly
- Tap Upgrade to Pro
- Confirm the purchase via the App Store
Your subscription starts immediately and renews automatically.
Managing your subscription
To change plan, cancel, or view your renewal date:
- Go to Settings → Subscription
- Tap Manage Subscription — this opens the App Store subscription management screen
You can also manage your subscription from the App Store: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Sorted.
Restore purchases
If you've previously subscribed (e.g. on a different device or after reinstalling), go to Settings → Subscription → Restore Purchases.
Refer a Friend
Earn free Pro time by inviting friends to Sorted.
How it works
- Go to Settings → Refer a Friend
- Enter your friend's email address
- Tap Send Invite — your friend receives an email invitation
- When they sign up with that email address, you receive 28 days of Pro — no subscription needed
Stacking
Referral grants stack:

If you already have active Pro time (from a previous referral) when another friend signs up, the new grant extends from your current expiry date. For example: if you have 10 days left and a friend signs up, you get 10 + 28 = 38 days remaining.
Limits
- Maximum 3 referrals per user
- You can see your referral status (pending / converted) in the Refer a Friend screen
- When a friend signs up, you'll see a message: "Your mate's signed up — you've got 28 days of Pro"
Referral and subscription
The referral Pro grant is separate from your App Store subscription. If you have both an active subscription and a referral grant, your Pro access continues as long as either is active.
